General Committee
The Club elects a General Committee of eight to ten members each March at the Annual General Meeting. The General Committee for 2011/12 are:

Phil Alexander Honorary Treasurer Phil is Chief Executive Officer of Martello Realty an International Real Estate Company, which was established in 1991 and has been operating in the Asia Pacific Region since 1993. The Martello Group, a member of the Synergy Global Property Alliance, specialises in International Real Estate Brokerage, Restructuring and Corporate Recovery activities and has offices in Europe, The USA and throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Phil has been an active member of the British Club since 2004 and has been Chairman of the Balut Section since 2007, Hon Treasurer of the British Club and Chairman of the Treasury Work Group since March 2010, and recently a member of the Membership Work Group. |

John Bleho Montreal-born John and his wife, Cherie Hart (of the UN Development Programme), and their two daughters joined the Club in 2001. The managing director of Bleho Media, a graphic and website design and communications company, John is a past board member of the New International School of Thailand (NIST). An enthusiastic reader, tennis player, cyclist and swimmer, John joins the GC to help make the Club more attractive to current and potential new members by improving its facilities, services, marketing, and sports and recreational activities. |

Martin Carter Martin is a Solicitor having practised in the City of London initially with Richards, Butler and Co but subsequently in Australia as partner and founder member of a firm of solicitors. He joined the British Club in 2005 and is an active Member and Secretary of the Bridge Section. He runs a small Family investment company in Bangkok and is the father of a seven year old daughter who attends Heathfield International School. |

Paul Cheesman Honorary Secretary Paul has been a Club member since 1999 and was Honorary Secretary from 2000 to 2003, 2006 to 2008 and again from 2010. He was also Vice-Chairman in 2001 to 2003. Paul authors ‘Past Participle’ in the Outpost magazine. He worked in the UK for The Boots Company until 1996 when he was headhunted to Shell South East Asia. Paul retired in 2004. Whilst in the UK he served two terms as a London Borough Councillor and was elected as an Honorary Alderman for the London Borough of Southwark in 2005. |

Peter Deman Peter has lived in Thailand since 2003 and has been a member of the British Club since 2004. Peter's career has been in the shipping industry, holding senior positions with companies in the UK, France, Singapore and Thailand. He has been a member of the Honourable Artillery Company in the City of London since 1980. He plays bad golf and even worse balut. He is married to Neeranart. |

Andrew McLean Andrew has lived in Thailand for 14 years and is married to Wanida. He has had various jobs: boat hand on a scuba boat, Financial Controller, Director of Photography and presently IT/Multi Media owner. When not working Andrew plays golf with the British Club Golf Section, rolls a few dice with the Balut Section and uses the tennis facilities |

John Stevens John is founder and Managing Director of POV Media Group and is also involved in various entrepreneurial ventures and an angel investment group. John has lived in Thailand since 1997 and has been an active member of the British Club since that time. John captains the Thai Stix ball hockey team and also is an avid golfer and squash player. John has served on the board of Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce for many years and is currently Vice President. He is married to Kay. |

Jonathan Truslow Chairman of the General Committee Jonathan has worked in banking and finance in Bangkok for the last 19 years and is an associate of the UK Chartered Institute of Bankers and of the Thai Institute of Directors. He is known to many through his theatrical performances with Bangkok Community Theatre and other theatre and opera groups in Thailand. Jonathan has been a member of the British Club since he arrived in Bangkok in 1990 and served on the Treasury Work Group from 2006 to 2009. He is married to artist Louise Truslow and has two daughters. |

Chris Watt Vice- Chairman of the General Committee Australian born and having lived in New Zealand for many years Chris has been a Club member since 2000. Working as a graphic designer and prior to that in architecture Chris is a keen photographer having contributed many photos to the Club magazine. An active tennis sections member he has served on the tennis section several times. |
