This year is the 60th year that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne of the United
Kingdom. Only the second monarch to have achieved this historic moment, she is highly respected
and held in high esteem by her subjects as well as Commonwealth and other countries' people and
heads of state worldwide.
The British Club is organising a day of great fun and joyful merriment, a day when families and
children alike can meet in the Club's grounds and find a broad selection of activities,
entertainment, and even some shopping, all at no charge. It is intended as a day of happiness in
recognition of this extraordinary acheivement.
The Club's Sections, the Loyal Societies, the Associated Groups, the Members themselves and their
friends, and members of the public as well as representatives from British Companies, are all getting
involved to make this a very special day. We are expecting a huge turnout for the entire duration.
The Club invites all Commonwealth citizens to attend with their families and friends, and any person
from around the world who respects and admires Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As this weekend
sees the Diamond Jubilee celebrations going beserk in the U.K., we join all direct and indirect subjects
of H.M. the Queen in showing our appreciation of her reign. Please join us!
A schedule is posted here below the posterfor your information.
