Opened in 2007, The Verandah is a light contemporary café/Bar. It provides an air-conditioned environment for families to dine, and opens out to a terrace providing fan cooled seating amongst the trees and bushes and allowing children play on the back lawn.
The bar offers a diverse menu for both adults and children, both inside and on the terrace, and in the evening it turns into a cosy, dining environment. The Central Bar offers a wide range of drinks, whilst the Buffet Station provides regular buffets, carverys and themed evenings for members’ enjoyment. There is an extensive cocktail and Wine List available. A TV screen allows families to watch sports in the main section without disturbing others in the Bar in the side wing, the Inside Verandah and the Outside Verandah.
The Verandah has access directly into The Churchill Bar to access the many draught beers it stocks, and as with the entire Club it is wired up for Wi-Fi. The Reception holds a media bar with the Bangkok Post and The Nation newspapers each day, together with electronic copies of The Daily Telegraph. The media bar also stocks The Sun, The Financial Times and The Daily Mail (delivered one day after publication) plus a range of local magazines. There are also weekly deliveries of The Australian, Globe & Mail and the New Zealand Herald newspapers.
