The British Club extends membership to all nationalities, although there maybe a Waiting List.
Click here for the various types of membership and here for current membership fees.
Applications for all categories of membership must include:
- Completed application form signed by a Proposer and Seconder. Please note, Club Membership and voting rights belong to the applicant only. These rights can subsequently be transferred to the spouse only on application to the General Committee and payment of a transfer fee. Couples should therefore decide who wishes to hold these rights before completing this form.
- Two passport photographs of the applicant, spouse and any children over the age of 14 who will use the Club. Children are expected to join the Club in their own right on reaching the age of 21.
- Copy of the applicant's passport (only photo page)
- A completed Direct Debit form.
- The appropriate entrance fee, subscription and deposit.
If you are new to Thailand and do not know a current member to propose you, you can be given temporary membership until the New Members’ Night where you will have the opportunity to meet with the General Committee.
Important Notes
Once an application has been accepted, the applicant's name and photo will appear on the Club notice board. Following this, the application will be voted on at the next General Committee meeting. The applicant's membership will remain 'Temporary' until this process has been completed.
Applicants will be issued with temporary membership cards after payment of the relevant fees. Applicants may then use the Club facilities. A permanent membership card will be issued upon election by the General Committee. However, if no vacancy exists for those applying in the Associate category, the applicant will be placed on a waiting list and the Proposer notified. When a vacancy occurs, the application process will proceed as normal.
New Members Night
Applicants, their spouses and Proposer and Seconder will be invited to attend the next New Member night. Attendance is strongly encouraged but is not an essential part of the membership process unless you have no proposer or seconder.
