The British Club Golf Section (BCGS) normally tee off late morning/ midday on Sunday’s at various courses around Bangkok. Away (long) weekends are also organised to such as Hua Hin, Pattaya, Kanchanaburi, Soi Dao, and Chiang Rai.
Official handicaps are maintained using the CONGU system, as used in UK. Every month there is a Medal and a Stableford, and during the year there are six “majors”, and seven matches against other Societies plus and some “Club days” where we play matchplay, better ball or scramble. A BCGS team competes in the monthly Bangkok Golf League. There is a hard core of regular playing members and others who join occasionally, with standards varying from single figure to near beginner.
