What is Bambi?

(Bangkok Mothers & Babies International) (1982)

…is a project of the Childbirth & Breastfeeding Foundation of Thailand (CBFT). We are a non-profit organization run by volunteer parents. Our aim is to provide support and companionship for pregnant women and parents of young children of all nationalities in Bangkok. Bambi supports all mums, whatever their birth and baby feeding choices may be, while promoting evidence-based best practices informed by UNICEF, the WHO, and the Thai government.

A history: Bambi and The British Club

Bambi began as a small parent meet up 39 years ago. Our first playgroup was held at The British Club, and still to this day we hold a weekly playgroup where kids and parents can meet up, connect, and play.

Not only does Bambi hold their weekly playgroup with The British Club, but we have also partnered for many years to host numerous community events, including the annual Splash Party during which we celebrate the Songkran holiday with Bambi members.

On occasion, Bambi also holds swimming sessions in The British Club pool in partnership with a swim school or international school. This is a great way for new parents to get comfortable and introduced to swimming lessons for their little ones in Bangkok.

Over the years, we have also held our Annual General Meeting at The British Club. As you can see, this ongoing partnership has been very successful.

Bambi’s British Club playgroup

Currently, Bambi holds a weekly playgroup at The British Club on Thursdays from 9:30am–11:30am (Covid-19 restrictions permitting). The target age group is 0–5 years old. Members and non-members are welcome to join.

There is a child-friendly swimming pool plus both indoor and outdoor play areas. Changing facilities are also available. Parents are welcome to order food and beverages from The British Club kitchen during the playgroup. Parking is also available.

This very popular playgroup is only ฿150 for Bambi members and ฿350 for non-members.
