Sunday Bridge at British Club

Normally every Sunday, except the last Sunday of each month, the British Club Bridge Section organises Duplicate Bridge competitions in one of the Clubhouse function rooms. There are sometimes last minute changes to the schedule and so new players are recommended to contact one of the organisers for confirmation.

The session fee is 200 Baht/ player, which includes afternoon tea, biscuits, sandwiches and snacks. Game play start at 1.30 pm, refreshments are served at 3.30 pm and we normally finish around 6.00 pm. So why not join us afterwards for dinner and drinks?

Non-members and guest players, especially international movie stars and celebrities, are all welcome. But we do require that all players have their own partners, and advance pre-registration is a must. If newcomers need a partner we will try to find a match, but please let us know well in advance because, even then, success is not guaranteed.

The Club uses the ‘Bridge-Pad’ electronic scoring system which records and updates scores in real time. Results are displayed on a Flat Screen as soon as hands are played. Full results including individual scores are e-mailed to player-participants on the following Monday. Needless to say, we enjoy a lively and social afternoon.

Due to car parking limitations at weekends, non-members and guest players must apply for parking space on a first-come first-served basis. For details please contact one of the organisers.

Interested players should register their email address so that they can receive regular and timely updates, especially during the Coronavirus emergency when Sunday Bridge may be cancelled to comply with Club or Government regulations.
