Membership Information
Although the British Club Bangkok has a dominant Membership from the core nationalities of Australian, British, Canadian and New Zealander, the Club opens its membership to all nationalities although, from time to time, there are waiting lists for non-core nationalities. All applicants must be 21 years of age. A refundable deposit is charged upon joining and all Membership types pay a monthly subscription.
There are two types of Membership available:
Annual
- This type of Membership is purchased for the use of the Club and its facilities for one year.
- It can be renewed and after five annual entrance fees is automatically converted into a Full Membership.
- Those from core nationalities are designated Annual Ordinary Members, and those from other nationalities are Annual Associate Members.
Full
- This type of Membership is purchased for the use of the Club and its facilities for life, as long as the member is paying subscriptions.
- A Full Member, if leaving Thailand for a period of time, may absent their Membership and reactivate upon their return, subject to various conditions.
- Those from core nationalities are designated Ordinary Members, and those from other nationalities are Associate Members.
- Any candidate for Ordinary Membership who normally resides more than 80km from Bangkok, or who lives abroad, may join as a Country Member.
- Full Members from the Core Nationalities have the right to vote, attend Members’ Meetings and stand for election to the General Committee.

Single Entrance Fee:
Single Membership is for an individual thus such a member may not bring in a spouse, boy/girlfriend, or any children into the Club on a regular basis.
Family Entrance Fee:
Family Membership is for an individual, his/her spouse, and their children under 21. The term “spouse” means the Member’s married or publicly acknowledged partner.
